DAY ZERO: 101 GOALS IN 1001 DAYS
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
The List:
1. Meet my best friend for the first time.
2. Sing alone in front of at least 100 people.
3. Make my bedroom look like I’ve just stepped foot into an 80s dance club.
4. Start painting again regularly.
5. Fast for two weeks.
6. Have better grades senior year and actually graduate.
7. Get my left cartilage re-pierced [5/18/09], get an industrial in my right ear, gauge my lobes to 0.
8. Stop drinking soda for good. [6/20/09]
9. Lose 100 lbs.
10. Get a new bike.
11. Visit a foreign country that’s off the continent.
12. Get my driver’s license.
13. Get a job and keep it. [6/25/09]
14. Work Warped Tour for at least five dates.
15. Turn off my laptop and phone for one whole week; Sunday 12:00 AM to Sunday 12:00 AM.
16. Become better at sight-reading music.
17. Audition for a solo in chorus.
18. Become vegetarian.
19. Meet my four favorite bands: Avenged Sevenfold, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, Placebo.
20. Meet my hero: David Bowie.
21. Take photography classes.
22. Read all of the 100 books on my 100 Books To Read/Re-Read Before I Die list. [7/100]
23. Cook at least 5 meals for the family. [0/5]
24. Throw a masquerade ball for my 18th birthday.
25. Donate blood.
26. Choose a country, learn the language, their history, and how to make some of their food.
27. Get my Bowie tattoo.
28. Spend one whole day lying in bed, doing nothing but listening to music.
29. Memorize a monologue and perform it somewhere.
30. Learn how to confront people.
31. Learn to ballroom dance.
32. Start connecting with my inner self more.
33. Learn some methods to stay organized.
34. Keep my room super clean for at least one month.
35. Create a sacred space for myself.
36. Actually complete NaNoWriMo one year.
37. Organize my laptop/delete things I don’t need/complete writing pieces that’ve been there for ages. [8/1/09]

39. Work really hard on a piece of art and get it displayed somewhere outside of my own home.

55. Finish reading Lies My Teacher Told Me.

57. Get a big journal and write down my favorite lyrics in it.
